
In Our Commitment to Educate the “Whole Child” We Are Proud to Present the Art Lab at St. Madeleine. Open to Students from TK4 – 5th Grade, this Afterschool Lab Hopes to Light the Fire of Creativity in Our Children and Offer Instruction in Technique Along with Nurturing a Love of Art for the Future Catholic Artists in Our Midst.

The Art Lab is an Extension of the dA Center for the Arts, a Gem in the City of Pomona. The Arts Colony is the Hub of Culture and Art in Pomona, where Restaurants, Music and Art Galleries Come Alive on the Second Saturday of Each Month to Celebrate the Fine Arts.
The Art Lab at St. Madeleine is Hosted by Guests Artists from the dA and Mrs. Gina Capaldi, the Art and History Teacher at St. Madeleine. Mrs. Capaldi is an Author/Illustrator of Children’s Books, in Non-Fiction, Trade Publishing and the Toy Industry. Her Adherence to Comprehensive Research in Historical Non-Fiction Have Earned Her Many Awards Such as the Gold Awards from the National Council the Social Studies, the California Reading Association and the American Library Association. Her Books have Been Included in the Bank Street College of Education’s Textbook as One of the Best Children’s Books of the Year. She Studies Fine Arts at Pepperdine University; Illustration at the Art Center; College of Design, and Art History at Pitzer College.
